You know that Alice in Wonderland quote, “Why, sometimes I’ve believed as many as six impossible things before breakfast”?
What if we all did?
What if instead of thinking of a problem as too big or too complicated or as belonging to someone else, we thought instead in terms of possibility? What would impossible things would suddenly become possible?
I’ve decided to find out and start believing in some seemingly impossible things before breakfast. So here goes…
I started Feltadoodle for one simple reason: To help a friend. And not just any friend, mind you. One of those rare-find, faithful-through-thick-and-thin, makes-you-laugh-until you-cry, always-and-forever-there-when-you-need-them-no-matter-what kind of friends.
She and her family are going through some unbelievably tough times right now. The un-bloggable kind of tough. The kind of tough that you desperately need help to get through but can’t even talk about it and don’t even know where to begin. The impossible kind of tough.
How do you ask for help in times like that? How do you help someone during times like that? I really don’t have the answer, but this is my attempt to help figure it out and not be one of those people who thinks only in terms of impossibility.
This little blog is intended to do two things: The first is to provide visibility for the
Gofundme.com campaign being conducted on behalf of my friend and her family and to give you the opportunity to help out a lovely family in need. The second is to introduce you to my lovingly stitched, handmade fundraising attempts here at Feltadoodle. And here is the first one!
